I travel for a living and one ritual that has helped me survive as a road warrior more than anything are the little notes my husband puts in my suitcase before every trip. He always asks my schedule, and I note which days are I will be traveling and which days I will be speaking.
For the travel days he writes simple little notes like “Watch your purse!” after I had my wallet stolen a few years ago. On the days I speak, he rights positive reminders like “You’ll be Awesome!” or “Be Yourself!”
Those notes mean the world to me, and I thoroughly enjoy opening the folded piece of paper each morning of my trip. They aren’t anything fancy, just a special note that cheers me on.
Who needs one of those notes from you? Is there someone who could use your encouraging words before a big meeting or when a tough project just seems to be filled with obstacles. Make a difference for them with a little note.
