Three Customer Service Week Ideas to Celebrate Customers

At Baudville, we view Customer Service Week as prime time to recognize our awesome customer service team. We throw a week-long celebration with activities every day and toot the horn of every team that contributes to the customer experience.

We have lots of Customer Service Week ideas that make the week fun and exciting for our team, but it’s also an important part of our employee engagement and customer satisfaction strategy. According to the Forum for People Performance Management and Measurement, recognition is an effective strategy to positively impact internal operations and improve customer relations. Their research has identified a clear link between employee engagement and customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction and profitability.

You can take it one step further by appreciating your customers during Customer Service Week. One year, the Baudville team each wrote a thank you note to a customer, and we placed all the notes in their packages. As you can imagine, we received a really positive response from our customers!

Include your customers in this year’s celebration to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty. Here are three Customer Service Week ideas to celebrate customers during this year’s event:

1. Send a Thank You Note. Taking the time to personally write thank you notes to your customers will make a huge impression. Add your notes to outbound packages, insert them into business correspondence, or send a special greeting card just to say thanks. You can also send a thank you email to your customers, but the handwritten note will make the biggest splash! 

2. Run a Customer Service Week Special. During Customer Service Week, make doing business with your organization extra special. If you have a physical location, decorate the entrance and provide complimentary refreshments. If your customers interact with you from a distance, offer special discounts or a free gift with their order. 

3. Honor Top Customers with a Certificate. Recognize the loyalty and support of your top customers by sending them a formal award certificate. Have the President of your organization personally sign the certificate. Present the award to your customer in a certificate frame ready for display and include a letter detailing how much you appreciate their business.  You can create your own Customer Wall of Fame and display the certificates in your organization, too.
