Grand Rapids, MI – When was the last time you thanked one of your past teachers? What about your child’s teacher? This May 2-8 Baudville,, a leading provider in day‐to‐day recognition and award solutions for the workplace, is encouraging the community to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week by sending a handwritten thank you note to a past or current teacher.
Each year, Teacher Appreciation Week honors the dedicated men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating children. Baudville’s efforts to send thank you notes to teachers is part of a national effort led by the Parent Teacher Association to call attention to the contributions of teachers.
“At Baudville, we’re on a mission to make sure that being a teacher isn’t a thankless job,” said Brad Darooge, Baudville President and CEO. “Feeling appreciated for your work is key to employee engagement and performance, and teacher performance directly impacts the future of our children."
The most effective recognition is a handwritten note, advises Darooge, but he also encourages individuals to use Baudville’s free ecard system, ePraise, to send their message of appreciation during Teacher Appreciation Week.
“Either way you write it, appreciation matters,” Darooge said. “It’s easy to send a short ePraise card to a teacher to say thank you, and it’s the very least we can do to acknowledge all their hard work.”
In 2009, Baudville supplied Teacher Appreciation Week gifts to over 2,000 schools. The company hopes to exceed that number this year with the addition of a new recognition theme, "You are Truly Appreciated," and over 65 new appreciation gifts. The "Making a Difference" recognition theme, which features a motivational story involving a starfish, is the company’s most popular line of gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Baudville, the place for daily recognition, continues to be the leading innovator in day-to-day recognition solutions. Baudville’s day-to-day recognition solutions appeal to today’s increasingly diverse workforce with contemporary designs and relevant messaging, motivating and engaging workplaces world-wide. Baudville has been declared one of the best companies to work for in its area and strives to create the ultimate work experience for its employees.
