Time to Shine at D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s Tribute Dinner will Spotlight Outstanding Partners
Grand Rapids, Mich. – Thanking a caring community is cause for celebration at the newly-merged agency of D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s. The child and adolescent agency will recognize volunteers, donors and friends at a tribute dinner called “Time to Shine” on Thursday, June 3rd.
The event will be held at StoneWater Country Club starting at 6pm with awards presentations around 7:30.
Three awards will be given:
Volunteer of the Year: the Junior League of Grand Rapids
Advocate of the Year: Kent County Administrator, Wayman Britt
Edith Blodgett Compassion Award: Mrs. Bea Idema
Executive Director Sharon Loughridge says the dinner is a way of thanking the community. “D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s would not exist if not for the charitable support of these people and the community they represent. We serve thousands of children each year, and our impact and success is dependent on volunteers, donors, individuals and businesses.”
Time to Shine is the first combined event of the agency formed by the merger of D.A. Blodgett for Children and St. John’s Home on January 1, 2010. The event sponsor is long time St. John’s Home corporate partner, Baudville, a leading provider in day-to-day recognition and award solutions for the workplace.
Baudville President and CEO, Brad Darooge, says sponsoring the event is a good fit for his company. “Recognition has a valuable impact on the retention and engagement of employees, volunteers and donors alike. We hope Time to Shine will bring a great return on investment to D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s.”
Members of the media are welcome to attend the tribute dinner and award presentation.
