University of Texas At Arlington Student Team Wins $1,000 Service Super Hero Prize from Baudville

Grand Rapids, MICH. – Students at the University of Texas at Arlington are celebrating today after coming out on top in Baudville’s Service Super Hero contest. Baudville, the leading provider in day-to-day recognition and award solutions for the workplace, created the contest to recognize customer service teams in honor of Customer Service Week, October 4-8.
Baudville received nearly 50 entries in the Customer Service Week promotional contest. All of the entries were posted on Facebook, and fans of Baudville could like the pictures of their favorite teams. The University of Texas at Arlington team won first place with 162 likes and received a $1,000 credit for future Baudville recognition purchases. The Respiratory Care Department at Texas Children’s Hospital, Brickyard Point at SUNY at Cobleskill and the Tampa Bay Casualty Market Claims Office of Allstate Insurance were runners up and each received a collection of recognition products.
“The contest was a huge success,” said Baudville President and CEO, Brad Darooge. “We were able to engage with our customers about Customer Service Week and give national recognition to all the outstanding teams that participated.”
“Just after we entered, my budget was cut and funding for recognition products was one of the first things to go,” said Brittney Joyce, Manager of New Students Welcome Center at University of Texas Arlington. Brittney nominated her team of campus tour guides, admissions assistants and telecounselors for the contest. “My students are so excited that we won!”
“The Service Super Hero contest was a great example of how important customer service is to an organization,” said Darooge. “It was obvious by the comments we received and the level of engagement in the contest that the team members have a significant impact on their peers, their customers and ultimately their business.”
Baudville hopes organizations will recognize their customer service teams next week during National Customer Service Week. Celebrated annually, the recognition holiday acknowledges the critical role of customer service in business.
