Grand Rapids, MI – For Michigan-based Baudville, the leading provider in day-to-day recognition and award solutions for schools and the workplace, summer is a time when many employees take vacations and the office moves at a slightly slower pace. However, the employee recognition experts point out, that doesn’t mean employee engagement and morale need to suffer.
“The beautiful summer weather can prove to be a bit of a distraction in the workplace,” explained Baudville President and CEO Brad Darooge. “Team events and competitions are a great way to maintain employee engagement.”
To help customers promote employee engagement and morale in their workplaces this summer, Baudville is throwing a social media competition for the office-bound “athlete.” With the introduction of the Baudville Games
, Baudville challenges companies to tackle four office-friendly events over the course of a month. Each of the events was created by Baudville. The events require minimal supplies and usually include common office supplies such as rubber bands and binder clips. Additional free downloads are also available on the Baudville website
. A new event is announced each Monday via email and on Baudville.com.
In addition to increasing employee engagement and morale, participating teams can also compete for hundreds of dollars of Baudville credit. For a chance to win the credit, teams must submit a picture of their event via email
. The picture will be uploaded to Baudville’s Facebook page
, and the event picture that receives the most likes by Friday of that week will win $200 Baudville credit.
“We believe employee engagement and morale are important attributes of a successful work environment,” said Darooge. “When your engagement strategy is fun, employees look forward to coming to work and relationships are built and loyalty increased.”
Baudville has already put on similar events for its employees in celebration of Employee Appreciation Day
, and the result has been outstanding. “Employees told us the games were their favorite employee appreciation event,” said Darooge. “We’re excited to be sharing these ideas with our customers, and we expect them to experience the same positive feedback we did.”
