The speaker works well and the pad does charge ...
The speaker works well and the pad does charge without having to plug your phone in. However, the speaker/charging pad will only work if plugged in. I love the Customization and got something cool and different for my coworkers. It was a difficult process, though, as I was only able to place an order over the phone. This led to a lot of phone tag and miscommunication. I would have preferred to make all my choices online then speak to customer service as needed.
